TRANSFORM: 1. to undergo a change in form, appearance, or character; become transformed; metamorphose. 2.to change in condition, nature, or character; convert.
Transformers are so cool.. they are this cool looking car and with a little time, some twisting, pulling, and pushing it turns into an even cooler robot! The theme song to the Transformers says “ Transformers, More than meets the eye” That is how God sees me… on the outside I am pretty good… I go to church, serve in BSF, I love my husband and kids, etc… but God knows that with some tweaking, some twisting and even some purging there is more to me than meets the eye… He has a vision for what He can transform me into.
Romans 12:2 ”Do not be conformed to this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 “ But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being TRANSFORMED into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Philippians 3:20-21 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will TRANSFORM our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”
So, this year, I have no resolutions, but I do want to be transformed into the woman that God knows I can be. If I let Him transform me, I will see changes in my attitude, my body, my thoughts, my household, my marriage, etc… every area will be different. It is my prayer that when I look back at the end of this year, that I won’t recognize the woman I am today.
