I heard this quote this a.m. while I was exercising. How true in so many areas of life. I can see it in my weight loss… yes, I am having progress, but I am far from being perfect in all my food choices. My spiritual life too… I know I am not the same person (spiritually) that I was last year, and each week God pushes me to progress even further, but again, I am far from perfect. But God doesn’t ask for my perfection… He just wants progress!

How to survive dieting and still have an espresso
I love my morning espresso… but did you know that when I counted the points for my yummy homemade espressos, it was 10 points! OY! No wonder I am as fat as I am!
So, for a long time I just gave them up.. too many points :( I felt sorry for myself, so instead of my espresso I just drank a slim fast (well, wal-marts brand of them anyway). So a week or so ago, I got a bright idea! Why not use the slim fast in my espresso??? So that is what I did!
I use my 3 point slim fast for the chocolate milk, then add however many shots (usually 3) and 1 TBS Sugar Free Vanilla Caramel Creamer… and voila! and espresso for 3.5 points :) It makes for a happy me in the mornings!

I wanna be a good grape!
It is only the 3rd week of the BSF study of Isaiah, and already, God is speaking volumes to me! OY!
Isaiah 5:4 - “What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?”
God has given me everything I need to know Him and to live the life He wants me to… I have no excuse to be a bad grape… He has given me… His Word, His Son to die so that I didn’t have to, people in my life to steer me the right way, He has constantly provided for me and has given me the Holy Spirit to guide me. My reasonable response? To be a good grape!
